Agreement

By using Notetive’s website, downloadable apps, or related services (together, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Services.

The Services

Notetive provides tools for thinking and writing. Features may change; we may add, modify, or discontinue functionality. We will try to give reasonable notice for material changes when practical.

Your account and content

  • You are responsible for backing up important content. Local-first products can still lose data if devices fail or sync is misconfigured.
  • You retain rights to content you create. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Services (for example processing on device, or sync through systems you enable such as iCloud).
  • Do not use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity.

Software license

When we distribute apps (e.g. via the App Store or Mac distribution), the store terms and any EULA shown at install may apply in addition to these Terms. App Store purchases are also subject to Apple’s terms.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties where allowed. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

Our total liability for claims arising from these Terms or the Services is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if the Services are free—unless mandatory law says otherwise.

Governing law

Choose the law and venue that match your entity (e.g. “State of California, USA” or your country). Replace this section with advice from counsel.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
